Blogging Everyday in June - Day 8: Colour and Monochrome

It's a glorious day in London today so I'm enjoying the time in the sunshine, but before that - time for a blog post!

Day 8: If you could be a colour what would you be? Or craft something in monochrome.

So I'm gonna try and do a double today. So firstly, if I could be a colour I would be Green. I think last year, I said I wanted to be multicoloured - but I wouldn't be able find that colour in a Crayola packet! Green is my favourite colour, it's the colour of the trees, leaves, nature, grass and lovely Summery things. I don't use green very often in crafting, but I think it's a great colour and I may incorporate it more in my card making especially for Spring and and Summer themed cards :) Go Green!

My monochrome make for today is more like an experiment with my stamps than anything. I used a stamp from my mini haul during the week - Party Animal by Avery Elle.

I stamped this image with Memento ink in Tuxedo Black on to some mini place cards from Papermania, creating a simple monochrome card to whip up for a few friends or make them in a pack of 3 or more to give away or sell to those who have several birthdays around the same time. Quick and easy. Need to work on stamping more cleanly I think! If anyone has any tips on stamping more cleanly that would be appreciated! :)

Hope you liked my post and thanks for stopping by! Happy Sunday!

  1. Great double post.. I love the little balloon dog cards so cute.. Green is not my fav colour but I think used in the correct manner can be so fun, I love greens for spring cards and when it comes to spring/summer layouts, green is a big must for me as it gives such a happy feel to the layouts. So even though it is not my fav colour it does has its uses and certainly not a colour that I hate! 3. My son went through a green faze and actually come to think of it he still is. Before green he was into orange but we think thats because he has bright ginger hair lol. I just had a look around my house and I dont think I have anything green.

    1. I wouldn't wear green, well maybe like an olive green or something, but my parents once got me this bright, luminous green tracksuit when I was 12, and yes they did force me to wear it and it was one offence too far for the Fashion Police!
